Sandy Barn Cottages - High View
Cornwall

High View is a single-bedroom cottage at the end of a private lane in St Breward, Cornwall's highest village, surrounded by fields on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The conversion sits semi-detached within a courtyard of 200-year-old granite farm buildings, with views across neighbouring land towards the moorland beyond. A pub and community shop are within walking distance.
Inside, the ground floor has a living and dining room with a woodburner and smart TV, plus a kitchen equipped for everyday cooking. Upstairs is one double bedroom and a shower room. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included; logs for the woodburner are free initially, then £5 per bag. The property is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Dogs stay free, and the owner can provide a cot and highchair if needed.
This corner of north Cornwall works well for splitting time between moorland and coast. Trebarwith Strand is roughly 20 minutes away; other north-facing beaches sit within 30 to 40 minutes' drive. Bodmin Moor itself offers walking and cycling, while Lanhydrock, the Eden Project and Tintagel are reachable for a day trip. No smoking inside.

What guests say
Cosy stone cottage with a footpath straight onto the Moors, nothing more is needed, but much more provided. From the super dry wood for the very efficient woodburner, to the garage space for our motorbikes, to the sunsets from the patio doors and the spring lambs in the field at the back. High View is a little gem of a space to spend a relaxing and peaceful week of exploring the Moors, the coast and we even went to Truro on the community bus and got to know the locals. Thank you Kate for providing such a super little holiday home.
