Templeton

Built across a half-acre plot, Templeton is a substantial modern house arranged largely on one level, with a wraparound balcony that looks straight out to sea. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms mean families and groups have genuine space to spread across. The main living areas—kitchen, dining room, sitting room and master bedroom—all face the ocean, while a separate snug at the rear provides a quieter refuge. An undercover storage area holds wetsuits and bodyboards, with its own shower and drying room useful after beach days.

The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a range cooker, dishwasher and everything else needed to cook proper meals. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. Two of the bedrooms have bunk beds, making them practical for children; the other two are kingsize doubles, each with an ensuite. A main bathroom with a bath and shower serves the rest of the house. Outside, the balcony has teak furniture and a chimenea, with a barbecue for cooking alfresco, and there is private parking for four cars plus an electric vehicle charging point.

Mawgan Porth Beach is accessible through the garden—a walk of minutes rather than the trudge many coastal properties require. The beach has lifeguard cover in summer, rock pools and caves to explore, and faces west for afternoon sun. Smoking is not permitted in the property. One dog is welcome.
