The Old Smithy

The Old Smithy is a detached property in Penelewey, a hamlet on the outskirts of Feock with creek-side appeal and views across woodland and countryside. Truro's cathedral, shops and restaurants are five minutes' drive away; Falmouth, with its maritime museum, busy harbour and seafood restaurants, takes fifteen. The King Harry ferry from nearby connects to the Roseland Peninsula, where St Mawes and its Tudor castle sit overlooking Carrick Roads. Water taxis and ferries run from Falmouth to St Mawes, Flushing and the Helford River, while boat trips offer chances to see dolphins, basking sharks and seals.

Inside, the property sleeps six across three bedrooms: one double on the ground floor with ensuite shower, one king on the first floor with French doors to a Juliet balcony and ensuite wet room, and two singles. A second bathroom has a bath with shower. The ground floor is open plan, with a living area, separate sitting room with DVD player, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—gas hob, electric range, dishwasher and all the basics. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Outside, a small lawned garden with patio and decking faces the views; parking for three cars is private. One dog is welcome. The property is non-smoking. The garden has four steps within it; the entrance has two.
