The Old Sweetshop opens into a surprisingly spacious ground floor where the kitchen, dining room and living area flow together, giving four guests room to spread out. Downstairs there's a well-equipped kitchen for proper cooking, a dining table, and a sitting room with a smart TV and electric wood burner. Upstairs, a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom (suitable for children) share the first floor with a shower room.
The property comes with essentials covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—and steps out to a tiered rear garden with furniture for sitting outside. There's parking nearby and a small supermarket within a three-minute walk. The beach is two miles away. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
Latham Park sits within reach of South Cornwall's main draws: St Austell is four miles off, Charlestown with its historic quayside three miles, and from here you can head along the coast to fishing villages like Looe and Polperro, or inland to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. The cottage itself has retained original character from its days as a neighbourhood sweetshop.
