The Potting Shed

Well worth the visit and the wait to be seated. I had the cajun chicken salad with the extra halloumi. It was delicious and filling. Probably the best salad I've had. My table had smoked salmon salad and scampi and fries. All very tasty with nothing left behind! The place itself has a lovely cosy atmosphere and very comfy seating. The staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it and would happily recommend a visit.

Had a wonderful breakfast here. We had to wait 15-20 mins to get a table. Service was polite and prompt. Their breakfast options are very thoughtfully put together and there is something for everyone. I tried the pancakes and omelette breakfast options, both of which did not disappoint. Coffee was great too.

We had some coffee and cake and it was lovely. Great selection of cakes and comfy seating. A little queue for the restaurant but it moved along fairly quickly. Polite and kind staff. The garden centre was clean and had a great selection of plants and tools at a reasonable price. Dog treat and toy section was quite big and reasonably priced.

4.5 out of 5! Had a wonderful visit to The Potting Shed on a lovely Sunday lunch time with a friend. We had to queue for a couple of minutes which was fine and then were seated in their beautifully decorated restaurant with a view of the outside. We were spoken to promptly despite a busy service and the food & drink came out fast. Brilliant customer service. I ordered the Big Shed veggie breakfast and a pot of English Breakfast tea. This is where my .5 deduction comes in and this is probably just down to personal preference. On the menu it said the veggie breakfast came with veggie sausages but they were actually vegetable fingers - a mix of peas, carrots, sweetcorn, potato and rice that is battered? I just think that in 2026, there’s no place for a veggie finger masquerading as a sausage when there are so many vegan sausage alternatives that look and taste like actual sausages! If I could suggest anything to improve, that would be it! Everything else was wonderful. My friend ordered the Pistachio Dukkah Eggs which looked delicious! We then finished with some cake each and had a gorgeous, relaxed brunch. Thanks Potting Shed!
