The Studio Cottage

Bodmin Moor's edge holds this converted barn, The Studio Cottage, where two guests have the whole place to themselves. The single bedroom contains a king-size bed; the bathroom has both bath and separate shower. Everything is on one level with wide internal doorways, and ground-floor access throughout. A wood burner and sofa with Freeview TV and DVD occupy the open-plan living area, while the kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included.

The real draw is outside: a private hot tub overlooks rolling countryside, and Bodmin Moor at night is an International Dark Sky Landscape, making it exceptional for stargazing. The location sits just five minutes off the A38 at Liskeard, putting Looe's beaches and independent shops within twenty minutes' drive. The wider area suits walkers and hikers, with Bronze Age sites and moorland paths abundant. Guests who smoke are asked not to during their stay.
