Consider removing the "beware of the dog" sign? I wish there were some way to post a review here without awarding stars because I mostly just wanted to make a suggestion to the owners... I was cycling through the area, thinking of staying the night. I don't know if you guys had space, but you guys could have made some money if you did. This campsite's pretty difficult to find, and unless I went to the wrong place (possible!), looks like just someone's house. That's wonderful! But . . . I would suggest you make it a bit easier for people dropping by. Specifically, having been bitten by strangers' dogs in the past, the "beware of the dog" sign scared me away from staying. Your business could have made some more money, if it weren't for that sign (and the dog). I struggle to believe I'm the only customer you've lost because of this. Obviously it's your campsite, your rules. I don't mean this as a complaint; I just wanted to make you aware of a really easy fix you can make to avoid missing out on business in the future! Edit: amended to five stars to say thank you for your response here.

What’s not to love about this campsite?! It’s rural, peaceful, and offers stunning views. All the amenities were perfect and well maintained. We bought fresh veggies and eggs from the neighbours, and after a long drive, a swim in the local mine’s fresh water was an absolute must. The hosts were incredibly friendly and more than accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2025. It’s a gem of a place. The site looks over the stunning views of the moors. The campsite has all the amenities for perfect camping trip. There is fridge freezer, socket to charge your phone and hot shower. The host were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we were settled in. Highly recommend.

Beautiful campsite in the heart of the country. Peaceful with plenty of space and a gorgeous little horse box which has been tastefully converted to shower and toilet facilities. Very kind owners who made us feel very welcome. Stunning views with everything you would need for a retreat to charge your batteries. Would love to come again. Thank you.
