Porthleven sits at the heart of Cornwall's most visited stretch of coast. The working fishing village is minutes away, with its harbour, independent restaurants and shops. The beach extends for three miles at low tide towards Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate. Drive west into Mounts Bay and you reach Marazion, Penzance and Mousehole; head east and the Lizard Peninsula, Kynance Cove and the Helford River are all within an hour.
Trequean Cottage is a barn conversion on a single floor, split between two bedrooms and a combined kitchen-dining-living space. One bedroom has a 6ft bed, the other a pair of 3ft singles that zip together. Both have en-suite shower rooms. The kitchen is fitted for proper cooking—induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher—and there's a wood burner in the main room. Underfloor heating runs throughout. The essentials are covered: wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; logs for the burner come free from October to April.
Outside is a patio with seating, sun loungers, a barbecue and firepit. Parking for two cars is provided 50 yards from the door. Smoking is not permitted inside.
