St Columb Major sits inland from the north Cornwall coast, far enough from the bustle to feel genuinely quiet, yet within reach of Newquay's beaches and the cliff paths that run between them. Tuckingmill is a refurbished country cottage on its own drive, with space to park and two separate gardens—one with seating and a barbecue for outdoor meals, the other a lawn for sitting out. The village itself is small and unhurried, surrounded by countryside walks and fields.
Inside, the layout centres on a kitchen with a Rayburn, electric oven and hob, microwave and air fryer—enough equipment to cook proper meals or keep things simple. The dining room has an angled shape that adds to the cottage's character, and the sitting room has a fireplace and television. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king-size bed and the other two singles. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. A utility room downstairs means you can rinse off sand or mud before heading through the cottage. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included.
The driveway is narrow, so parking needs care. No smoking inside. This suits families or groups of friends wanting a base for exploring the coast without staying in a seaside town.
