Cirencester and the surrounding Cotswold Water Park draw visitors year-round, but Kingfisher Lake House offers something different: a waterside base where you can step straight onto decking without leaving the property. This distinctive wood-clad house sits at the edge of Waters Edge Lake in a gated community, with room for five guests across three floors and sleeping arrangements that span a king bedroom with ensuite, a double, and a single.
The ground floor contains the living and dining space, opening onto the decked area where a barbecue and garden furniture face the water. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly. Upstairs, the main bedroom takes a king bed and has its own shower room, while the two further bedrooms occupy the top floor alongside a family bathroom with a tub. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. There is parking for three cars on site, and the shared facilities within the community include a gym and children's play area.
The location works for both families and adults seeking quieter breaks. Cirencester is a short drive away, while the Water Park itself offers water sports, tennis courts and other activities. No smoking in the property. One pet is welcome.

Incredible location in the Cotswolds, on the edge of a one of the many surrounding lakes. Open plan living layout, with 1 bedroom downstairs & 2 upstairs, all onsuite, one with balcony overlooking the lake. Hot tub, canoe free, pay extra for 2 paddle boards attached to the side of the building. The house came with just about everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable & stress free as possible. Also 2 dogs allowed.

Location great, well appointed. Hot tub did not work properly, technician did come out. High winds whistled through the downstairs bedroom door to the front patio, frame needs resealing. We stuffed the gap with tissue. Fridge door would not remain closed Storm knocked out tv reception.

We didn't stay at at Kingfisher Lodge but number 8 next door, Libelle Lodge, which was virtually identical. The Lodge is spacious and well equipped. There is ample seating for dining, lounging or sitting on the deck for 6 people in each area. The views are outstanding too. The only downside was the blinds weren't blackout ones so the light streamed in first thing in the morning so there was no option for a lie in!

We chose to book the Kingfisher lodge to celebrate a family birthday from Monday to Friday. We knew it was going to be somewhere special just from the images online, but upon arrival literally everything exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless and presented in the most luxurious manner, as well as being stocked with the essentials and some luxury items which was a lovely touch. The space flows so well, and the communal living/kitchen area was of course the social hub for our week, but still had the ability to break off into your own space when you wished. We also had our dog with us which made the experience that little extra special. The description and images on the booking sites speak for themselves, the views were stunning and the area nice and secluded but not too far to walk to the local pubs and restaurants. The information sent to us both before and during the stay was amazing, there was not one thing we couldn't find the answer to with the book and emails provided to us. We will definitely be returning and hoping to book the lodge again in the near future, and would not hesitate to recommend to others as we have been since our stay. 10/10
