Lakeside holiday park in the Cotswold Water Park with indoor and outdoor pools

About Hoburne Cotswold

Hoburne Cotswold occupies a unique corner of the Cotswolds – set among the 150-plus lakes of the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester, where the landscape turns flat, watery and green rather than high and stony. That makes it ideal for family cycling and watersports, with boats and activities available on neighbouring lakes and well-regarded fishing on site. The park itself is laid out as a full resort, with heated indoor and outdoor pools, a kids' pool, playground, indoor play area, bar, restaurant and barbecue facilities. Accommodation ranges from lakeside timber lodges and static caravans to touring and camping pitches with hook-ups and shower blocks.

It's a busy, family-focused operation rather than a peaceful field, so those seeking solitude should look elsewhere in the region. Cirencester's Roman museum and twice-weekly markets are ten minutes away, while Kemble station offers trains to London Paddington in about seventy-five minutes. Tetbury, Malmesbury and the southern Cotswold villages all sit within half an hour. Touring pitches start around £25 a night in shoulder season, with lodges and caravans priced higher and peak summer weeks commanding top rates.

Overall great for families. Great indoor pool with fun flume and splash area. Sauna steam room and hot tub. Outdoor pool not open when we went to use it. No signs saying when open. Soft play area great. Caravan housekeeping missed few things and light bulb not working in one room. Roast dinner overpriced and virtually inedible. Child’s fish fingers good quality. All staff we met very friendly and helpful b

Lovely place, the amenities are great with crazy golf, cycle cars, peddloes on the lake. You have a few arcades for children, a pool table and dart board in the bar area. There is a soft play and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The homes are well looked after and quite a few of them have hot tubs, which we did have one and we used it everyday. The complex staff are very helpful and very happy to do so. A lot of them have different jobs throughout the day but always so helpful. Great place to visit.

After arriving we were given a caravan that wasn’t the same as I had booked like many times before we always have 2/3 bedrooms with decking but this caravan had no decking and just two plastic chairs outside, beside a very smelly drain, it was also very small inside with no patio doors.I went to reception and I believe the lady’s name is Louise who went above and beyond to make our stay very welcoming and moved us to another caravan with decking were we could sit outside and enjoy the weather. I really appreciate you helping us and made our stay worth while. The outdoor pool was very busy but well staffed and again great service. Our family love this holiday park and will definitely be returning.

Avoid the soft play at Hoburne Cotswold ★☆☆☆☆ We visited in March. The soft play cushions have zips on them — and one cut my daughter’s face badly, right next to her eye, after another child threw it at her. It bled a lot. When I asked for help, staff seemed more shocked by the blood than concerned — then blamed my daughter. I asked to file a formal complaint and was refused; I was told to tell my story to a staff member who’d write it for me. After pushing back, I was finally allowed to write it myself — but with a staff member watching over my shoulder the whole time. No apology. No explanation for why a soft play has cushions with zips. And weeks later, still no response from Hoburne. A hazard, a defensive reaction, and a complaints process built to obstruct, not listen. It ruined our holiday.
