This was, without a doubt, the worst camping experience we have ever had. My partner and I left feeling humiliated, unwelcome, and deeply disappointed. As a couple from another country, we genuinely felt that we were treated differently because of our nationality. Whether that was the intention or not, that was how the whole experience made us feel. The lady running the campsite was extremely rude, aggressive, and visibly agitated. We politely explained that, after seeing the campsite, we had decided not to stay because it was not what we expected. Instead of respecting our decision, she became angry, shouted at us, swore at us, and made offensive comments. The situation was completely unacceptable and very upsetting. To make things even worse, she refused to refund our money, despite the fact that we decided not to stay. We have travelled all over the UK and stayed at many campsites, and we have never experienced such disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour. No customer should ever be treated this way. We would never return and cannot recommend this campsite to anyone.

Just two guys on a road trip, making our way through Cornwall. We came across Kynance Campsite quite late in the day and thought, "Let’s try and stay here!" As we arrived, a sign stated "drop-ins welcome," so we called the number. Michelle came out to greet us even though it was late. She was so incredibly warm and welcoming and got us sorted! We were very grateful, so thank you for not turning us away. We were on day 3 of our very last-minute and very unorganised road trip. As you can imagine, we were two stinky boys ready for a hose down. I thought the facilities were very clean and in excellent condition and I was soooo ready for a shower it was the best lol. The campsite itself is huge and has space for both tents and campervans. They have these amazing bell tents set up with dining tables and chairs—I really, really wish we had chosen to stay in one of them; they looked so cool! We pitched our little tent, as we usually do wild camping... but it did the job! Two fully grown men with our heads poking out the entrance, staring up at the night sky, was just incredible. Nowhere else I have been could I make out our galaxy and see so many stars—it was breathtaking. The location is perfect. We ended up staying for two nights, though I wish we had stayed for a week. There are some beautiful beaches only a stone's throw away. We were lucky enough to get to Kynance Cove early before it got too busy. Don’t drive—just walk if you can, and get there before the crowds arrive; it’s beautiful. The next day we headed to Housel Bay Beach. It’s a beautiful walk if you don’t have any mobility issues. The beach again was just breathtaking—we could have been in Greece. On our last day, Seoul had to come rescue us as our car battery had gone flat. Stupidly, we had used our car jump-starter pack to charge our phones (lol, as you do...). Anyhow, Seoul sorted us out and was incredibly friendly—no issue was too big. Again, we’re so grateful for your help! We will be back, and prepared with the intention to stay all week. It’s because of you guys who made our stay so nice that we would want to come back. A campsite is a campsite, but the people who run and work there made us feel so welcome. Michelle and Seoul, you are amazing. You went out of your way to tell us about places worth visiting and genuinely made us feel like you wanted to chat with us. It was so refreshing, as you just don’t get that level of interaction with people these days. We left feeling so happy and uplifted, and you made our boys' trip so memorable. We love you guys! Love, Dave and Frank xxx

I have always been a lover of Cornwall having spent most of my childhood in The Lizard and getting married in 2021 at Newquay. I’m actually named after Kynance Cove so staying at Kynance Camping in September 2025 was a real pleasure. Lovely sized pitches, welcoming staff and doggie! Even got a lovely cuddle from the lady campsite owner when I left. We plan on coming down again this summer for the sea shanty and to bring my little sister also who has never been to Kynance Cove! So blessed to have such a connection with Cornwall. Thank you for a wonderful stay, some of the best memories here at Kynance Camping.

Excellent back to basics campsite, very friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts and unbeatable priced overnight stay! There is a bus stop right outside the entrance, and the campsite is a 3-5 minute walk into Lizard village whilst also 20-30 minutes walk away from the famous Kynance Cove Beach along the beautiful cliff tops. There are eco-toilets and showers there which were well maintained. It was very hot during the day time (July 2026) as the camp field is quite exposed (Cornwall in general doesn’t seem to have many trees!), however during the evening it was really pleasant sitting at camp cooking dinner and watching the sun go down! There is also next to artificial light pollution so you get to see all the starts! I also recommend waking up and setting off for a walk along the cliffs at sunrise - absolutely stunning!
