Pool Farm

Excellent experience taking the 5 year old camping for the first time. Big flat pitch, with well maintained clean toilets and a shower. The fridge and freezer on site would have been useful for a longer stay, and the kettle was excellent for a morning tea! A nice ramble down to the beach was a good adventure for a 5 year old and not too far away. Friendly hosts made us feel welcome.

We had a lovely few days at this rustic, no frills campsite. It's a working farm and the camping field is alongside the cow shed and goat yard. The carpark is right alongside the camping field so you can access your stuff easily. The farmer-owner Glyn is friendly. There is a little shed in one corner with two immaculate and well stocked toilets, and a clean shower with hot water. There is also a hut in which there is a small fridge, freezer, kettle and toaster that we were allowed to use. We also charged our phones in there. Tip: if like us you are camping in high winds and rain, choose a spot alongside the cow shed wall as you will be well sheltered there! We did not do that and we were blown to bits in the middle of the field! The camping field is alongside the road but it didn't bother us too much as there was enough vegetation between us that it wasn't "in your face". There is a lovely country walk through the fields right alongside the campsite which takes you down to the woods and onto the beach, and castle ruins. You'll need to be able to climb over stys to do that. It wasn't busy when we were there on account of the storms; there were just four other families there. They seemed nice, so we got the impression the clientel were decent. There was no loud music or shouting. Just kids running and playing. Can't comment on busier weekends though. Overall a nice experience if you like the back to basics, no frills camping experience right in the heart of farm country.

Stayed here for 1 night to see if my boy liked camping and I am so glad we went to this one . We were greated on arrival and told where everything was by a very nice lady and told how to get to the beach . Everyone was nice and the facilities were spotless toilets/shower room/ toaster and fridge freezer . My boy had a lovely time despite are tiny cramped tent but that's it I gotta go get a new huge tent now we will be returning 5 star 🌟 thank you .

This is a lovely little campsite, the facilites are exceptionally clean and we liked the shed with communal fridges, toaster and kettles, this was a really nice touch. Directly opposite the site is a pub serving excellent Turkish food and a milk hut next to it selling whole milk, a variety of flavoured milk, coffee and cakes and other useful items from vending machines that take card payments! A godsend as I had forgotten to pack milk and coffee! Glyn who owns the site is very friendly and helpful and he also takes card payments which we hadn't expected. We would definitely stay again!
