Wow, what a gem. I can't believe I've loved in Bridgend for two years and not visited before. We started at Candlestone Woods, we weren't familiar with any of the routes but headed off in a random direction then followed the signposts to the beach. We wandered through the forest, past a castle, through a hilly Hobbiton, over sand dunes and then to a beautiful sandy beach. Even my 8 year old didn't complain as there was so much to see. Absolutely stunning, doesn't get the hype it deserves ♥️

Wow what a fantastic setting for a bit of R&R. The drive is most definitely worth it and the feeling after the cold water therepy was so good I booked to go again straight after.
