About Caerwylan Hotel
The Caerwylan occupies a beautifully restored Victorian building directly on Criccieth's seafront, a few minutes' walk from the castle, with many of its 24 individually designed en-suite rooms looking out over the main beach, Tremadog Bay and the castle ruins themselves. The hotel is exclusively for guests aged 12 and over, giving the public rooms and restaurant a calmer, more adult atmosphere than family hotels along the same stretch.
Public areas include a south-facing lounge and a fully stocked bar, along with the Tonnau restaurant, which serves home-cooked dishes built around Welsh and other local produce; breakfast is included in all rates. The hotel's position puts both of Criccieth's beaches, the castle headland and the town's shops within easy walking distance.
As a 4-star property with a strong local reputation, the Caerwylan suits couples and older guests looking for a comfortable, well-located base directly on the seafront rather than a family hotel with children's facilities.
