About Llwyn Bugeilydd Caravan and Camping Site
Tucked into the hills above Criccieth, Llwyn Bugeilydd is a peaceful, family-run farm site with spectacular views over Cardigan Bay and the Llŷn Peninsula. The 14 electric hardstanding and seven grass pitches are spread across level ground, and there's a welcoming emphasis on four-legged guests—dogs roam freely in the on-site dog park, and coastal walks are minutes away. Facilities are straightforward but well-maintained: hot showers, launderette, communal fridge-freezer, and free WiFi. Kids enjoy the play area, while grown-ups appreciate the picnic tables and barbecue-friendly vibe.
The setting is the real draw—walkers, climbers, and kayakers will find plenty on the doorstep, and Criccieth's castle, beaches, and cafés are a short drive down the hill. The site can feel remote if you're after evening entertainment, but for those seeking mountain air and starry skies, it's a gem.

What visitors say
Wonderful campsite , a short work into Criccieth. Very clean toilets and utility room. Children's play area too for families. The dog exercise park was a great addition and loved by our pup. The views were stunning and it's an excellent location for visiting the local areas. The staff were so attentive - even buying and delivering fire wood for us which was so kind and helpful. I actually had an injury at the beach and sprained my ankle and the owner kindly gave me a lift to our campervan and offered to take me to hospital if required. Thank you for all your care and for making the stay at your lovely campsite so enjoyable and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

What a gem of a caravan site! Great for families with a park and playing area close to the caravans/tents. The toilets and showers were really clean, showers are great with enough space in them to change especially with young children. Can't wait to come back again. Diolch am benwythnos bendigedig!

I was recently looking for a campsite which can accommodate 7 families with electric hookup, and i am glad that i found this campsite. The campsite is around 23 miles away from Llanberis train station, and Tesco is around a 10 mins drive if you want to shop for any food or groceries. They provide over 8 showers with hot water, and staff maintain the toilets' super cleanliness all the time. Highly recommended for family camping as there is a play area too which our kids enjoyed a lot.

Really good site. Plenty of space, toilet and shower blocks always nice and clean. Showers were hot. 15 minute walk into Cricceth. We had a Chinese delivered from Porthmadog. Ideal for families as loads of space for the kids to play in. Great views. Will definitely visit again.
