About The Manor Hotel
The Manor Hotel occupies a commanding position above Crickhowell on the Brecon road, looking directly across the Usk Valley to Table Mountain, the flat-topped hill and Iron Age hillfort that gives the town its name. The hotel has been in the same family's hands for decades and trades on that setting, with a terrace and several of its rooms making the most of the view rather than the more conventional high-street outlook offered by the town's coaching inns.
Bedrooms are traditional in style, with a mix of standard and larger valley-view rooms, and the hotel's restaurant and bar draw on the same seasonal, locally sourced approach found elsewhere in Crickhowell, with lamb and beef from nearby farms regular fixtures on the menu. A function suite and grounds also make it a popular choice for weddings and events, which is worth bearing in mind when booking a quiet weekend stay.
Its slightly elevated, out-of-centre position means a short walk or a couple of minutes' drive to reach the high street itself, a trade-off most guests make willingly for the views and the quieter, more spacious feel than the town-centre inns offer.
What guests say
We had a beautiful stay here in rooms 23 and family suite 24. Fabulous location with amazing views. We used the spa facilities, kids loved the pool. Was very quiet with just us using it. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Excellent service from all staff and my son, with a peanut and sesame seed allergy, was well catered for. This was the same again with breakfast. Every member of staff we met was friendly and professional, excellent service! Slight downside, rooms weren't as clean as I'd expect and the hotel could do with an update but this didn't stop us from having a lovely time! We would definitely return and recommend to others!

Good food, great views, and really great staff, particularly Nadia and Charlotte, who were most attentive to my family for Sunday lunch. Pleasantly surprised that the pricing isn't dissimilar to a "pub lunch", even though the maintenance and running costs of such a venue (with its long sweeping driveway and established trees) must surely cost a small fortune to maintain. My family were very happy with the experience. Thanks again to Nadia and Charlotte for their care and attention.

Fabulous Hotel! My welcome was friendly and informative, I was give an upgraded room, which was huge! My room had fantastic views out towards Llangattock Escarpment & the lush green patchwork of fields leading up to the mountain. Couldn't believe my luck! My bathroom was clean and had plenty of room with both shower & bath facilities. My room furniture was perfect & my bed was very comfortable. I used the on sight health spa facilities which were great! I'd been hiking before my arrival, so it was nice to have a jacuzzi, sauna & steam also a few lengths of the pool was a treat for my great price. Dinner was perfect, & my waitresses were very friendly & there when I needed them. Well done staff! I slept right through in my comfortable bed & woke up feeling refreshed. Breakfast was perfect 👌 absolutely everything was laid on, great selection of everything & nothing was too much trouble once again, the waitresses again were so polite & professional doing their job. Well done girls! 10 out of 10 from me & I very much look forward to staying again. Thank you Manor Hotel

A friendly hotel in a lovely location. It has the benefit of a small swimming pool, a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Despite having 30 cyclists staying I was very well cared for.
