About Ty Croeso Boutique B&B

Ty Croeso Boutique B&B occupies a former Victorian infirmary set high on the hillside above the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at The Dardy, on the Llangattock side of the valley around half a mile from Crickhowell. The elevated position gives most rooms views across the Usk Valley towards the Black Mountains, and the building's institutional past has been thoroughly disguised behind a contemporary, boutique fit-out.

Rooms are individually decorated with en-suite bathrooms, and breakfast covers the full range of Welsh, English and vegetarian options, made with local ingredients where possible. The property has held a five-star Visit Wales grading, reflecting the standard of the rooms and the breakfast rather than the size of the operation, which remains a small, personally run B&B.

Being just above the canal towpath, it is well placed for gentle walking or cycling into Crickhowell and along the valley, though the short but steep approach from the road means it suits guests happy to walk a little further than a high-street address would demand.

We had the most wonderful week!!! The second time we have stayed at this property and no doubt will be back. Walking distance from Crickhowell makes it easy to pop to the pub, go out for dinner etc) Walking opportunities straight from the door, alongside the canal, river, through woods or up the hills without needing to take cars. Alex was the most thoughtful host and communication was excellent. Highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage in a gorgeous part of the world. We were a party of 16 there for a long weekend to celebrate an 80th birthday and all had an amazing time. The cottage is very spacious with superb facilities - great bedrooms and living areas. Plenty of space to relax, unwind and feel at home. Highly recommended!! Alex & Cory the owners were superbly accommodating and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Ty Croeso House. From the moment we booked Alex and Cory were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The house itself is beautifully maintained, with excellent facilities throughout. We especially appreciated the spacious en suite bathrooms, which added a real touch of comfort and privacy to our stay. The catering kitchen was fully equipped and made it easy for us to prepare meals and snacks whenever we wanted. What truly sets Ty Croeso apart is its stunning location. The views of the surrounding countryside are absolutely breathtaking, and we loved waking up each morning to the sight of rolling hills and lush greenery. All in all, Ty Croeso House offered the perfect combination of comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty. We will be back!

We had a warm welcome from Alex our host. Ty Croeso is an unusual and historic house with many nooks and crannies. Lots of common space for a large group to eat and socialise. It has a commercial kitchen, which takes a little getting used to. Rooms are comfortable with good beds and duvets. Crickhowell is a lovely and interesting town.
