About The Wellington Pub Cromer
The Wellington Pub Cromer suits travellers who want straightforward, budget-friendly accommodation above a working pub rather than a polished hotel experience. It's a good fit for families, dog owners and anyone visiting Cromer for the beach and pier, who don't mind their bar doubling as reception and their breakfast room doubling as a dining room the night before.
Rooms are simple and en-suite, with family rooms available and drinks can be brought straight up if you fancy a nightcap. The pub itself is the main draw for many staying here, serving familiar favourites like fish and chips and chicken burgers alongside a broad range of beers, with outdoor seating in the garden for warmer evenings. Staff are generally friendly and quick, prices are fair, and dogs are welcomed without fuss, though service has occasionally been reported as a little inconsistent.
Garden Street puts guests within easy reach of Cromer's pier and beaches, with golf, fishing, walking routes and further pubs and restaurants all nearby. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical basics, making this a sensible base for a low-key seaside break rather than a destination in itself.

What guests say
Pretty good pub and often go. Lovely courtyard garden. Visited recently and was a bit disappointed with the beers. There were a few of us and it didn't taste as good as usual. We had 4 different types and a few of them. Wondering how often the pumps get cleaned. Hopefully it was a one off. We also chose a day that they had staff training and there was no food. Which seemed an odd day to pick during summer holidays.

Nice location, real good cask ales. Ordered from the menu, food nice and reasonable value for money. However, sadly have to report that told to get own cutlery from the service area, which I guess wasn’t a deal breaker. However, asked for tartar sauce and mayo, told to go to the bar. Asked the staff, told it doesn’t come with food, each sachet is a £1!!! Questioned that had orders £15 meal, stated that was the way it was in this pub!! A little disappointed……

Absoulty a brilliant pub. Great staff that work their socks off and good beer. We didn't have food here. But the food we seen other people eating looked good. Blake served us most of the time. Even though the bar was busy. He had time for a chat. Absolutely brilliant great staff very friendly. Brilliant welcome. Highly recommend this pub. Cheers guys 👍😊

Lovely place with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Tiny food portions for the price. Bread to flatbread was stale. And charging £1 for some ketchup is nothing short of cheeky. Especially when the tsaziki used on the gyros comes striaght from a jar. Wont be coming back for food. But maybe a drink. Dont waste your money on the food here
