Blaithwaite Estate - Blaithwaite House

Through the entrance of Blaithwaite House, you walk into a formal hall with a woodburner, dining room and drawing room arranged across the ground floor around a working kitchen. A separate living room has a TV and DVD player; a further toilet sits off the main circulation. The scale is immediate—this is a substantial property designed for large groups to spread across rather than feel cramped.

Thirteen bedrooms are distributed over the first floor, each with its own ensuite shower room. Bed configurations range from kingsize and four-poster doubles to zip-and-link super-kingsize beds that can split into singles, with additional single beds in many rooms and bunk beds in one, making it straightforward to accommodate families of different ages or groups with varying requirements. Linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included; initial logs for the woodburner come with the booking. A cot and two highchairs are available.

Outside, the house commands private grounds with a courtyard, terrace, garden furniture, summerhouse and BBQ. A hot tub sits within the immediate gardens. Beyond this, eighty acres of woodland and grounds offer mini golf and space to roam, with parking for twenty cars on site. The property sits in rural Cumberland, within reach of the Lake District National Park. No smoking indoors. Pets are welcome at no extra charge.
