The Lake District and Northern Fells are within reach from this substantial property on the Blaithwaite Estate, a private woodland setting near Wigton. The grounds stretch across 80 acres with walking routes through the trees, mini golf to play, and a handful of ponds dotted about. From here you can drive to the National Park or explore the Solway coast. The house itself is set up for large gatherings—reunions, family celebrations, milestone weekends—with room for 14 across six bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Downstairs you get an open-plan living and dining area with doors onto a decking terrace, a kitchen fitted with an Aga and the usual appliances, a conservatory, and a games room with a pool table. The ground-floor bedroom is a family space with a double and two singles plus its own ensuite. Five further bedrooms are spread across the first floor, including a kingsize, three doubles, a bunk room and a single, served by a separate shower room. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; there's a private hot tub for four, parking for seven cars, and a travel cot and two highchairs on hand. The back garden has seating and furniture. One dog can stay free of charge. The property is non-smoking, and guests should note there are steps leading into the garden and ponds within the grounds.

What guests say
Had a brilliant camp and dance event at the hall. Lovely quiet camp site with very hot showers. Very helpful when the weather was not as good as it has been recently. Lovely rooms to dance in and sit around and have a social drink. Great the hall has food vans come in on Friday and Saturday evenings. I had a fabulous pizza on Saturday night . No need to cook my own food!
