The Lake District fells rise within walking distance of Church House, making it an obvious base for exploring on foot or by bike. Coniston Water lies a 30-minute drive away. Broughton in Furness, the nearest town with shops and amenities, is 10 minutes away by car. The Browfoot Room is also nearby for those wanting a night out.
This period house dates from 1706 and has been updated while keeping original details: thick walls, exposed beams and slate floors remain. The ground floor holds a living room and dining room, each with a woodburner, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs, three bedrooms sleep six – a double and two twin rooms – with a family bathroom offering both bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There is parking for two cars on site and an enclosed front garden with seating.
One pet can stay free. A games room with table tennis, pool and football tables is shared with an adjoining property on the site. The house is yours alone for the duration of your stay. No smoking is permitted inside.
