Brampton sits in the heart of Hadrian's Wall country, within reach of the fort and priory that draw visitors to this part of Cumberland. Lily Rose Cottage is a detached property here, positioned to make the most of its rural surroundings—the garden overlooks fields where sheep and ponies graze, and the only disturbance is birdsong. A short drive takes you into the market town itself, which balances the isolation with access to shops and services.

The cottage sleeps five across two bedrooms: one with a four-poster king and ensuite, the other with a four-poster king and a single bed, served by a second bathroom with bath and shower. Ground-floor living keeps things simple, with a kitchen that has everything needed for self-catering—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The sitting room has a TV and DVD player overlooking the garden. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included; there is on-site parking for two cars.

The garden comes with decking, furniture and a barbecue, plus a private hot tub for four. This setup suits couples or small families wanting a break in walking country without being cut off, or anyone drawn to exploring Hadrian's Wall and the archaeology nearby. No smoking indoors.

Can't fault the place. Was lush. Anne and Tim went out their way for us whenever we asked. They allowed an early check in and hot tub was ready on arrival. The animals are lush and the donkeys came for a stroke as well. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 kids aged 13 and 4. Cakes on arrival, complimentary dressing gowns and towels for around the tub. Beds were the comfiest I've slept in when staying away from home. Eggs are lovely as well for a small cost! Thanks Anne and Tim for a lovely week away! We will certainly be back in the future!

4th visit to Lily Rose, and 2nd this year. Beautiful cottage, set in gorgeous surroundings. Cottage could easily sleep 5 people. Very spacious, clean and has all home comforts. Anne and Tim leave you to get on with things, but are there if you need them. I look forward to my next visit! Highly recommended.

Stayed here recently and it was amazing the views of the animals in the fields surrounding are lovely … the beds were so comfy everything their what we needed to make out stay go smoothly we even paid extra for the food hampers which were just next level and beautifully presented. The cottage was very clean on arrival and as soon as we walked in it felt so cozy and homely very beautifully decorated inside and very tidy and well kept garden to the front and back … we also managed to try out the hot tub which was lovely and a nice relaxing way to end the day … would 100% be returning in the future
