What visitors say

Have lived on Irthing Vale now for 12 months and could not be happier. The park is under development and it is wonderful to see how this and the community is developing into a fabulous place to live. Brampton is a small friendly town about 1 mile away, 15 minute walk, where you have all of the local amenities, shops, GP surgery, Dentist, choice of pubs and some great little cafes and places to eat. We are not far from Hadrians Wall and Scotland is a stones throw away. Talkin Tarn us a fabulous place to unwind walk relax and enjoy local scenery. The Lake District is only an hour away... and you are on the border of Northumberland. Walk out of the park and you are greeted by fields and sheep, we consider ourselves lucky every time we look out of our window and see this across the lane, or in the field next to us. The park is located on a quiet lane with limited traffic. There are new lodges coming on regularly, you can still pick your plot and your lodge, and as different areas are developed it is shaping up to be a lovely place to live, with Park Owners that are approachable, friendly and considerate.

We love living here in our luxury lodge. The park is still under development as it changes from a holiday park to a residential park but should be finished in the next few months with beautiful homes and landscaping. New gated entrance planned for extra seclusion and peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend choosing the park and its less than a mile to the small town centre of Brampton. The area has a beautiful nature reserve with a lake and cafe "Talkin Tarn". Nearby the "Roman Wall". Lots of lovely pubs and eating places like "The Fleece " Only 10 minutes from Carlisle and 40 minutes from the lake district.

Staff really friendly & helpful and gave us a quiet pitch. The majority of the site is residential. For tourers and campers the pitches are a bit hit and miss but electric hookup is readily available. Toilets and showers are cleaned daily but could do with upgrading, the men's washbasins had no hot water. Dishwashing facilities aren't signposted and so we noted people washing dishes in the shower block. On a positive note it's an ideal base for visiting Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle and even Ullswater. All in all a good little site.

Overcrowed. View from tent is someone elses car, literally. As many people crammed in as possible to the space. No hot water for 3 days. No real covid care except posters. Noisy and disorganised
