Great stay! So peaceful, we had a lovely time in the Shepards hut. Everything provided to get the fire going and make tea. Lovely sunset!

I was walking the Hadrian's wall trail and selected. This is one of my overnight stops. I selected the shepherds hut, which to me resembled a gypsy style wagon. It was very nice and roomy and it had a bunkbed and a small stove in one corner, and a table and two chairs. There was a separate compost toilet outside as well as a running water tap, and a basin. I found it a fun and unique experience and good value specially since it's right on the Hadrian's wall Trail

We had a lovely stay at Camping at Banks on our Hadrians Wall walk. So accessible off the wall route, and had sinks, taps and a compost toilet. Basic facilities but this is reflective in the price and was our cheapest stay on the route. Would highly recommend!

Great shepherd's hut. Warm, comfy, clean. Get the log burner going ASAP on arrival if you want a hot drink. Perfect location on Hadrian's Wall. Recommended.
