Starfell Cottage

Eskdale sits in the western Lake District, surrounded by fell walks, the Ravenglass Railway, and beaches within easy reach. Starfell Cottage is a converted vicarage that sleeps 16 across eight bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The interior mixes traditional stone and timber with clean Scandinavian lines—there's a cinema room, a snug, a proper kitchen for cooking, and a lounge. Outside, a hot tub overlooks the fells, and a stretch of river on the property allows for wild swimming.

The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi. Cots and highchairs are available if needed. The whole place is yours alone, with private parking. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted.

This is a house for big groups—extended families, friends gathering for a week. The cinema room and multiple living spaces mean you're not all in one room. Nearby Muncaster Castle, Drigg Beach and local cycling routes give you something to do between days spent on the fells or in the water.
