Whitehall Pele Tower is a Grade I listed tower house near Wigton, built in the 14th century and substantially restored. It comes as a complete private property with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to 8 people. A one-acre garden includes large lawns suitable for games, bike storage, and private car parking on site. One dog is welcome free of charge.

The accommodation spans three floors. On the ground floor, a full kitchen with electric ovens, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave opens into the dining room, plus a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A games room with table tennis and a separate toilet complete the level. Upstairs is a sitting room with a multi-fuel burner, a king bed, two single beds in an interconnecting bedroom, and a shower room. The second floor holds another king bed, two more single beds, and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all included; the wood burner's initial fuel is provided too. An electric car charging point is available.

The house works well for groups exploring the Northern Lakes and surrounding countryside. No smoking throughout. Arrive after 16:00 and depart before 10:00.

Cool place to stay. We stayed for Xmas 2025. Good kitchen with 2 full size ovens and generally good number of pans trays etc. like all rentals the knives were blunt but we brought our own. Lovely big sitting room with log burner. Table tennis table in another room. Short drive (20-30min) to lots of great spots in the north side of the Lake District like Buttermere and Skiddaw.

Such an amazing and unique property in such a beautiful location. My family (6 adults) had such a wonderful 4 nights here in January. There's literally nothing the hosts haven't thought of to make the stay more comfortable. It's such a spacious property that nobody feels on top of each other. Will definitely be back!!

Amazing experience to have stayed for a few days in it. Ancient looking spacious home for family with a big fire place in the living hall and great facilities in the house.
