Swallow Barn

You arrive at Swallow Barn into a living room with a woodburner and television, and it's immediately clear this is somewhere built for comfort. The downstairs also houses a kitchen with a full set of appliances including a dishwasher, a dining area, and a separate toilet. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard; logs for the stove are provided to get you started.

Upstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite shower; the other has two single beds and shares a family bathroom with a bath and shower. Both bedrooms have televisions. The heating is oil-fired central heating throughout. Behind the property is an enclosed courtyard garden with seating and furniture, and you have private parking for two cars on site. No smoking inside, please.

Torpenhow Village Hall is nearby in this quiet corner of Cumberland. A pub sits within a mile's walk, and the property works as a base for exploring the Caldbeck Fells, the Northern Fells, or making day trips further afield to Keswick, Cockermouth, Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall, the Scottish Borders or the Yorkshire Dales.
