Bed & breakfast on a working farm in the Lake District with shower facilities.

About Graysonside Farm

Graysonside Farm is a working farm bed and breakfast in Cockermouth, within the Lake District National Park. It offers rustic rooms and suites, along with self-catering apartments that have kitchens, giving you the option to cook or use the breakfast service. Showers are available on site.

The location puts you within reach of the Lake District's fell walking, water activities and market towns. Cockermouth itself is close by, a historic town with independent shops and pubs along the River Derwent. The farm setting means you can arrange your days around the landscape rather than being tied to a typical town base.

Stayed 2/4 May one word to describe our experience and the word is AMAZING. Janette is a fantastic host nothing is too much trouble for her. We stayed in the garden apartment it was beautiful everything you could wish for was there for us. There was fresh milk, bottled water, tea and coffee and a fully fitted kitchen, shower room was very big so much easier with the shower door opening out over. The super king size bed was very comfortable. The large garden was a sun trap and just for our use. We only ordered breakfast for the first morning of our stay and it was delicious we ordered it for the second morning thank you very much Janette and Andrew for your hospitality we enjoyed every second of our stay we highly recommend your beautiful place thank you Paula and David

We spent Easter at Graysonside Guest House. The room was lovely, the breakfast luxurious and the hostess is charming. Our room was looking at a field with sheep grazing there in the morning. This was a pleasant surprise when opening the blinds in the morning after arriving the previous night in complete darkness. It is very close to Cockermouth and a 5- minute drive from Lidl. The scenery is wonderful with hills, fields and country roads. I highly recommend this guest house and we are looking forward to going back again.

Perfect accommodation we stayed at The Woodland's Luxury apartment with every amenity that you could possibly need. Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Lovely hosts with Janette and Andrew, such a warm welcome who go the extra mile to to make your stay perfect. The breakfast prepared by Janette is a must! Amazing locally sourced ingredients such a great start to the day! We are so looking forward to return again soon. There is no better place to stay. Thank you Janette

I just keep coming back! Jan & Andy are most welcoming. Rooms are spacious, comfy, incredibly clean, tastefully decorated & warm. I've probably stayed in every room. They have B&B to luxury self catering cottages & houses. Great location for the North Lakes and the stunning Lorton Vale is the perfect view for a morning. As most of the other comments, breakfast is fantastic, wouldn't miss it!
