A beautiful, interesting, rural site, wonderful for nature lovers. A river runs right next to the site and the opportunities for dog walking are endless. Check in was great, even though we booked at the last minute and reception has a useful collection of things to buy. A 20 minute, cross country walk away is a farm shop and cafe. Very interesting, National Trust owned site, with lots of history as a gunpowder making establishment. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We recently stayed at Kendal Club Site in our caravan and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us such a warm and friendly welcome, making us feel at home straight away. Our fully serviced pitch was spacious, well maintained, and more than adequate for our needs. The site itself was clean, peaceful, and an excellent base for exploring the area. What really stood out was how helpful the staff were. We unexpectedly ran out of milk, and they kindly opened the shop so we could buy some, which was such a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. We had also bought some new walking shoes and fans because of the hot weather, leaving us with several large cardboard boxes. Rather than letting us fill up the recycling bins, David very kindly took the boxes away for recycling himself. It was a small act of kindness that really demonstrated the excellent customer service at the site. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, and their friendliness and willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend Kendal Club Site to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run site.

Lovely site, clean and tidy. Friendly helpful team on arrival. Loved seeing the old gunpowder ruins throughout the site. Next to the river kent, with fab scenic river walks through the forest and seeing waterfalls etc, just beautiful. Stayed on a full service pitch, number 79. I didn't like the pitch tbh, my opinion so never lost a star, i didn't get a choice as full, but still wouldn't have made a difference. Just felt like i was camped in a car park, worst service pitch ive come across, just hardcore gravel all across the pitches like a big cul de sac carpark, not good under dogs feet as well. I decided not to put up awning due to the large hardcore n stoney ground, with even rock pegs and driver drill i found near impossible putting the dogs lead stake in the ground. A bit of grass, some hedge partions would have made more enjoyable. The pitches were level thankfully. The TV booster plug in on ehu was not working, and wifi terrible, but i love watching nature and socialising. Overall lively staff and site, not for me though, just the pitch was a downer. You can't please everyone and I'm not a moaner, just my honest opinion. Thankyou

Stopped Fri to Sun. First time out in our old van for about three years. The staff onsite are extremely helpful and the site is spotless. Shower and toilet block very clean and showers are very good. The site is located next to a river and within a wooded area. Lots of different size pitches to accommodate varying sizes of vans and caravans. Will definitely return again. Thanks for making our first trip out enjoyable.
