Lovely campsite near the castle and plenty of walking routes. It's a small site with plenty of space between pitches. Despite being the end of half term, it was peaceful and quiet at night. There's understandably some road noise but that wasn't an issue for me. Toilets and showers very clean. I didn't use the showers myself but despite being a busy weekend there was always at least two available. Love that two fridges and a kettle are available to use. There's also a box with details of walking routes which was a nice idea. Great having the drinking taps so close to the pitches. If you need WiFi, the speed is great (I clocked it at almost 200meg) I didn't use the cafe but got plenty of the raw milk from the vending machine which is delicious and great you can see the cows who produced it The farm shop is rather expensive (over £6 for some black pudding) but it is quality produce and the campsite itself was a fair price so swings and roundabouts! Nice short walking trails from the site towards the river. I was a solo tent camper but definitely also recommend for families in tents or campervans.

Excellent small site set in lovely countryside. Pitches are well spaced and laid out. The site has a farm shop and cafe serving tasty food. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Lots of walking trails from the site and the lakes are a short drive away.

Wonderful little site just off the main road attached to a farm shop and cafe where you can get breakfasts and lunches. The site has an immaculate unisex shower/toilet block with 3 showers 2 loos and 2 wash basins that is only used by the campers and accessed via a keypad. There's a lovely wildlife walk from the site. Its a great base for exploring the south lakes with Grange over Sands being only 15 mins away. The owner came down to welcome us when we arrived and we would definitely stay again
