About Ullswater Caravan, Camping & Marine Park

Ullswater Caravan, Camping & Marine Park sits on pitches of genuine size, with clean shower facilities and a shop on site. The setting is Watermillock, on the edge of Ullswater itself. Staff are known to be helpful, and the park maintains its facilities well. Pitches come with views across the water, and there is enough space between them to feel uncluttered.

The site suits families and those who want the comfort of amenities without sacrificing the outdoors. A fish and chip shop is just a few steps away, and you have the lake itself on the doorstep for swimming, sailing or walking. The balance here is deliberate: proper camping infrastructure, but with enough to hand that you do not need to venture far for a hot meal or a shower block that works.

Quickly becoming our go to campsite, have only been through the week but plenty of space to pitch tents towards rear of park without being on top of other campers. Well stocked shop and nice coffee from the cafe. Good modern shower facilities near reception.

First time staying at this campsite. It’s a nice site great fish and chip shop friendly staff. But as other reviews have said, we stayed away from the lake to have a peaceful get away. Next door to the site there does seem to be a house with a very large number of dogs. No exaggeration They howl, bark and fight pretty much from first light until dark and occasionally through the night. There is only a hedge separating the park from the house. Our dog is used to very little noise at home but she was stressed out every time these dogs started barking. And my wife with the patience of a saint even got to her wits end listening to the constant noise. I know it’s probably not the parks fault however it really wasn’t what we wanted for our stay. We spoke to other campers at the far end of the park who also were woken up by these dogs so even on a different pitch they are disturbing you. Sorry for the negative review but this really spoilt our stay at the park.

First time here and we had a great time. Even bumped into some people we knew! The site is lovely and we will plan to go again. The only negative for us is campfires are not allowed so the midges ate us alive with no smoke to deter them. We've got over 40 bites between us both! But other than this, we had a great weekend!
