About Plas Dolben
Tucked into a working farm high in the Clwydian Range AONB, Plas Dolben offers peaceful back-to-basics camping with sweeping views over the Vale of Clwyd. Sheep, cows, pigs and free-range chickens roam the farm, and guests can buy eggs, sausages and seasonal veg straight from the source. Walking and mountain biking trails pass right through the site, making it brilliantly easy to head out into the hills, while a nearby bus route helps if you'd rather leave the car behind.
Facilities are simple—a toilet, hot shower and cold water tap—so this is one for those happy without electric hook-ups or frills. The local pub is a ten-minute walk, and both Denbigh and Ruthin are around fifteen minutes by car for shops and restaurants. Snowdonia and the north Wales coast lie within a 45-minute drive, though with scenery like this on your doorstep, you might not feel the need to venture far.

We stayed for 1 night on 27th Aug 2022. Lovely , spotless, spacious field. Toilets and showers were really clean. Free bottles of drinking water still/sparkling which was appreciated. It was Nice and peaceful in the daytime but there were 2 dogs continuously barking all through the night this went on till at least 4am they were from a neighbouring farm / house. Hopefully this was a one off but because of this we wont stay again as it spoilt it for us. Otherwise if we had a peaceful sleep would of rated it higher.

Really nice owners!! Lovely views, would highly recommend.. very quite and lovely distance between tents so privacy was perfect. One toilet and one shower but it weirdly works!! Shower has really hot water and pressure of water is great. Thank you for a great experience would come again👍... Silly me left my cool box running in car and woke up to a flat battery. Thank you for the help was appreciated

Great, quiet, spacious, and basic camp site. Lovely surroundings for walks and space for kids to explore. We only stayed 1 night but with the 30degree weather it was perfect. Lovely farm dogs and a few farm animals around to see. Will recommend others in the future

Nice rustic campsite in a beautiful area, the views from site are stunning and worth the pitch fees alone. Friendly welcome from the owners and the email a few days before we arrived packed with local information was a nice touch. The facilities are rustic but clean and functional, perfectly adequate for a small site like this. I would give 4.5 stars if I could and the only reason it doesn't get 5 is the lack of a potwash which I do consider essential for any campsite.
