Bwthyn Bwlch
Denbighshire
Denbighshire offers everything from castle ruins and reservoir walks to one of Wales's most dramatic zip lines. The county town of Denbigh itself has independent shops and leisure facilities, while Llyn Brenig Reservoir is eight miles away with fly fishing, sailing and cycling among the activities on offer. Blaenau Ffestiniog brings zip wiring and trampolines deep underground, and the Clwydian Hills rise up nearby with established paths for walkers of any ability.
Bwthyn Bwlch is a detached cottage converted from the old farm dairy, set on nine acres of smallholding. The ground floor is one open living space with a kitchen at one end where you can cook proper meals, and a sitting area warmed by a wood burner, which leads out to a patio and garden furniture. The first floor has two bedrooms—one double and one with twin single beds—and a bathroom with both bath and separate shower. Essentials like heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial wood for the burner. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. There's parking for two cars on site, a bike store, and a barbecue in the courtyard.
