Does everything you need in a hotel at a competitive price. That said, it does in a few ways feel on the cheap side - no evening meals bar pizza, just the greggs for breakfast. But as long as you're not in the mood for pampering, there's a functioning bar, bed, TV... And in the summer we'd prefer quality air con so may not stay here in the hotter months. However, staff are genuinely friendly, the water is hot and places nearby offer cooked breakfast if that's a deal breaker (e.g. Richmond Village, Aston on Trent or any of a number of pubs). I don't feel right saying 5 stars as that implies a wow of pampering; however, truly taking into account value per pound (3 nights for £120 in late 2025) you can't fault this hotel.

Good place for overnight stay cheap and cheerful . Reception helpful and friendly. It’s your typical budget hotel. Clean, can’t complain about anything for that price. Bit noisy but that’s expected in the location. Would stay again
