Families and small groups will find Morton Loft works well as a base for exploring the Peak District. The apartment sleeps five across one double bedroom, a sofa bed in the living room, and another sofa bed in the bedroom itself—though one of the sofa beds suits an adult only. You get the whole place to yourself, with private parking for one car and a stream running alongside the grounds. A pub sits within a mile, and the apartment is positioned in central Hathersage, close to local shops and a delicatessen.
Reached by external stairs, the first floor is arranged across one level. The living and dining area has a vaulted ceiling and faces out over the village and surrounding hillsides. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking indoors.
Hathersage itself is substantial enough to have cafes and restaurants alongside its shops, and hosts a year-round heated outdoor pool. The village sits within the Peak District National Park, making it a natural hub for walking, cycling and climbing—Stanage and Burbage Edge are close by, and Edale is nearby. Castleton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are each within 20 minutes' drive, while Eyam is about 15 minutes away.
