Silcrest

Silcrest is a stone-built semi-detached cottage in Baslow, positioned on the fringes of Chatsworth Park where the landscape opens into moorland and woodland. The building retains its original character—oak latched doors and local stone fireplaces—while the interior has been updated to modern standards. Three bedrooms sleep five: a super king, a double, and a single with a pull-out single bed for flexibility. There is one shower room with a heated towel rail. One well-behaved dog stays free.

The ground floor groups the living and dining spaces around a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, combi microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. French doors open the kitchen-diner onto an enclosed garden with seating and furniture. A sun room, utility room and side garden provide extra space—useful for dogs, for drying outdoor clothes, or simply for stretching out. Two cars can park on site. The essentials are included: bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating.

This suits families or groups exploring the Derbyshire Dales, with Fischer's Baslow Hall nearby and walking straight into country terrain. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 15:00, checkout before 10:00.
