The Mill View House
Derbyshire Dales
The Mill View House suits couples or small families looking for a rural base in the Peak District. Sleeping four across two bedrooms—one double and one with bunks—it's compact enough for intimacy but spacious enough for a short break without feeling cramped. The ground floor has a living room with Smart TV, dining area, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs, a bathroom with shower over bath serves both bedrooms. One well-behaved pet is welcome throughout.
Tideswell itself is a working village with a pub within a mile and local shops. The Star Inn serves real ales and home-cooked food; Merchants Yard, popular for locally sourced dishes, is a short walk away. Larger towns—Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock—are a short drive, each with their own draws: the Opera House, Bakewell Tarts, and the Baths respectively. Chatsworth House is also within reach for a day out. The surrounding Peak District offers serious walking and cycling, from Mam Tor to the gentler Deep Dale Nature Reserve.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Parking is on-street; bicycles can be stored in a small courtyard at the rear. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 16:00, checkout before 10:00.
