Tree Tops

Tree Tops is an end-terraced cottage on the edge of Youlgreave village in the Derbyshire Dales, sleeping four across two bedrooms. It comes ready to use: electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, along with wifi. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge; a separate utility room holds a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can do laundry if needed. Downstairs, the living room has a 32-inch TV with Freesat and an electric fire. One bedroom contains a kingsize bed, the other two 3ft singles that zip together, and there is a bathroom with bath and over-shower. The cottage sits on a ridge between two river valleys; the patio catches evening sun and has garden furniture for sitting out.

Youlgreave itself is one of the larger Peak District villages, with pubs and a couple of shops on the main street. Walks lead directly from the property into the Lathkill and Bradford Dales. Within 30 minutes' drive are the market towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne, Matlock and Wirksworth, each with restaurants, independent shops and attractions. Historic Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are roughly 15 minutes away, the Monsal Trail for cycling about the same distance. One well-behaved dog stays free. Note that there are 22 steps up to the entrance and unprotected drops from the patio level. No smoking inside.
