Families and groups of up to six will find Wheelwright's Cottage a practical base in the Derbyshire Dales, a short drive from Ashbourne and the Peak District. The refurbished property sits in quiet countryside near Ash Tree Farm, with fields beyond the garden and space enough that children can run between the decking, lawn and paddock without constraint. One dog stays free of charge.
The ground floor holds a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, air fryer and microwave mean you can prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a full evening meal. A dining room and sitting room (with Freeview and Sky) connect via French doors to the decking, useful when the weather cooperates. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Upstairs, three bedrooms each contain a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as doubles or split into singles; travel cots and highchairs are available on request. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, and parking for two cars sits on the drive.
The garden is the real draw for groups seeking space to spread out—lawned areas, furniture, a barbecue, and a pony paddock beyond create the kind of self-contained atmosphere where children and dogs tire themselves out naturally. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
