About Cool Cow Camping
Tucked near Kingsbridge with direct access to South Milton beach, Cool Cow Camping delivers straightforward, dog-friendly camping on Devon's south coast. Hot showers, an honesty shop stocked with essentials, and the option to book single-night stays make it particularly flexible for families and tourers exploring the area. Staff earn consistent praise for their welcoming approach, and the price remains one of the better deals this close to the water.
Facilities can feel a little tired in places, but the trade-off is location—several dog-friendly beaches lie within easy reach, and the relaxed atmosphere suits campers who prioritise coastal access over polish. Pitches accommodate tents and campervans, and there's drinking water and waste disposal on site, though no WiFi.

What visitors say
A truly lovely campsite. The location is absolutely brilliant, right next to thurlestone beach. Excellent view of the sunrise. There is an onsite honesty shop packed with everything you need, the showers and toilets are clean. You are given a space to set up in but you can always ask for somewhere else if it’s not busy. We went in early July and it was a little busy but not overly crowded or loud.

We adore this campsite and come every year. The proximity to the beach, the friendly owner, the beach hut, the views and the peace. Perfect in every way.

Wen found the site really difficult to find using the directions on the website. It is pleasant though with enough space per pitch for our van. The honesty shop is a nice touch It was a little disturbing sitting on the loo with huge gaps in the panelling in the door same with the shower! The compost loos are very smelly so my advice would be to not camp close to them. More bins on the campsite are required instead of just the one at the top of the lane on the way out. good location for the beach just a short walk.

Great camping spot, few minutes walk from the beach. There’s a communal fridge freezer. Some fresh meat and milk for sale from the farm.
