Kingsbridge sits at the head of the South Hams coast, a quiet corner of Devon where the estuary meets rolling farmland. Hope Cove, a working fishing village with beaches and pubs, lies within walking distance. Tara is a single-storey house built to accommodate groups—six bedrooms spread across one floor, with space for twelve people and the freedom to book the whole property to yourselves.
The layout centres on a living room with an open fire, a dining room overlooking the gardens, and a conservatory that opens directly onto the lawns. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and a separate utility room with washing and drying machines. Three bathrooms and three shower rooms mean no queue in the morning. Bedrooms range from a super king to doubles and singles; one bedroom has its own ensuite. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with wi-fi and heating throughout.
Outside, the property sits on substantial grounds with a lawned garden, seating areas, and a barbecue. There is parking for four cars and a bike store. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking inside.

I stayed here with my baby and a group of friends for a beautiful long weekend. The kitchen is very well appointed, the beds comfy, the shower much better than my one at home, and the view of the coastline totally stunning. We enjoyed paddling and swimming on the nearby beach, going for long walks and exploring. We could have stayed for a lot longer, it was idyllic and completely refreshed me. I highly recommend this lovely home. Oh I almost forgot to mention the beautiful balcony and gardens which also have the unreal view of the sky and sea.

I spent a blissful week at Tara Holiday Home with my grown kids, a young grandchild and a cousin. We all had different interests and energy levels, and this beautiful home suited us perfectly. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There were lovely decorative touches throughout the home, entertainments for all, and as much privacy and quiet spaces as anyone needed to get away. The location is perfect for beach access, long walks, and a great starting point for more adventurous outings in the area. The garden is lovely, and the balcony and all windows offer breathtaking views. The bedrooms are wonderful and peaceful and the bathrooms and kitchen have all necessary amenities. I cannot recommend highly enough, and hope to stay here again in the future.

My family had “the best week of our lives” at Tara’s holiday home, which is our very American way of recommending it emphatically. The house is clean and spacious, and so calming. Gorgeous views and garden. Stocked kitchen and all the amenities you need. And of course walking distance to Burgh island which is a wonderful place to visit. We can’t wait to go back!
