About Davylands Farm Campsite

Tucked on a working farm just five minutes from the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Davylands offers genuinely back-to-basics camping with sweeping views across the northern moors. This is wild camping in spirit if not quite in name—think non-electric grass pitches, campfires under the stars, and little else to distract you from Dartmoor's 449 miles of footpaths and bridleways on your doorstep. The Two Moors Way passes close by, while Fingle Bridge, Fernworthy Reservoir and Lydford Gorge are all within half an hour's drive.

It's a tiny site—just a handful of pitches—so the atmosphere stays peaceful and remote, perfect for walkers, cyclists and anyone happy to leave modern comforts behind (there's no hot water, for instance). Rural pubs serving local produce dot the surrounding villages, and whether you fancy north Devon's surf beaches or the south coast's quieter coves, both are under an hour away. A brilliant base for properly unplugging.
