Wilton Farm

Lovely location with large open fields and great views down valley to Salcombe harbour. Good local walks to nearby pub and estuary. All converted wooden shed toilets, showers, wash-rooms have been very well built and decorated. Useful farm shop. We had a fantastic, peaceful and relaxing time. Plus, lots of nearby hidden beach coves ( eg nr East Prawle).

This place is a real gem and such good value! Prime location to explore, beautiful scenic views across the estuary and over to Salcombe, and really well looked after facilities, everything you need including a lovely shop for your bits and bobs. Paul one of the owners was really helpful and was always on hand should you need any info or help with anything. A real legend! Thank you Paul 🙏 Three generations came to stay here and got to stay in the lovely glamping tent which has two futon beds. It was great not having to put your own tent up which meant we had extra time to enjoy the site and the area. We all had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space for three doubles in the tent. It was well equipped with real plates and mugs! And there was a very useful bench and bbq. The solar lights were a lovely bonus too.

Heaven! Lovely campsite. Yes it's small lanes up (as you expect in Devon) but absolutely fine in a long wheel base camper. Stunning views over Salcombe and estuary. Approx 5 mile return walk to Salcombe along bridleway and quiet road and ferry. Friendly helpful owners. Small farm shop to top up essentials, fire pit hire and everything you need in the shop. Clean toilets (sawdust) and showers

We had a fantastic stay at Wilton Farm campsite. Self serve check-in was great, and on arrival there's a very useful map of the site by the hate entrance which helped us get our bearings straight away. We were able to choose from three very large fields, giving plenty of space and flexibility. A lovely view of Salcombe in the distance from on of the fields. The facilities were excellent, with urinals, compost toilets, showers, a powder room, and a wash basin for washing up. Everything was well maintained,if a little rustic and thoughtfully laid out and signed. We were also given some really useful tips about the local area and places to visit, which helped us make the most of our stay. In a folder in the powder room. There are some lovely walks directly from the site. One took us to East Portlemouth beach, where we could have caught the ferry over to Salcombe, a slightly up and down route and worth noting is affected by tides and getting across stepping stones, but worth the walk and another well-signposted route led us towards South Sands village and the Millbrook Inn. The Millbrook Inn was definitely worth the visit, serving delicious food alongside a great selection of local Devon drinks. Highly recommended! A nice personal touch was the owner driving around later that evening to check that everyone had settled in and that everything was okay. Overall, a wonderful site with excellent facilities, friendly and attentive owners, and a fantastic location for exploring the area. We would highly recommend Wilton Farm and would happily stay again. 😊
