What visitors say
I can’t recommend Brodsworth Hall enough. It’s such a lovely place to visit in every season, and the gardens always look beautiful. Every time I go, I come away with ideas for my own garden, especially from the perennial borders and planting. My latest visit was just a few weeks ago, and it was such a pleasant day out. After a walk around the gardens, the cafe is the perfect place to stop for a coffee or something to eat, with plenty of indoor seating. It’s also a great place to visit with children thanks to the lovely playground. A beautiful, relaxing day out that’s definitely worth a visit.

We had a magical day here yesterday! The weather was a mixed bag but that didn’t stop us exploring the beautiful gardens! They were well maintained and full of colour and beauty! We watched some folks playing croquet which added a charming atmosphere! There’s lots of places to sit and admire the views. The house was very interesting with the guides giving us some history and ideas of what it was like when it was lived in.

We had a wonderful time at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens—it really was the perfect day out for me and the kids. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and provide such a safe, open space for them to explore. We enjoyed a lovely little picnic for lunch, and it was so magical when Grace met a ‘fairy friend’ in the gardens! The kids also spent a lot of time at the play park, which is brilliant and has a great safety surface, so I could actually relax while they played. We even spotted people playing croquet on the lawn, which was lovely to watch. We finished our visit with some delicious ice creams and a trip to the garden center, where we bought a beautiful plant to bring home as a memory of our day. It’s a fantastic place for a family outing—plenty of fun, fresh air, and smiles all around!

I believe this was offered to, and rejected by, the National Trust. Possibly because it's not as stately as they would like. Sure, it's not in the best of conditions, but it's still a fabulous house with a great history. It also has a magnificent and really well kept garden to explore.
