Booked accomodation last minute on a whim for a couples getaway. Very glad I did, this place was an incredible find. The pub itself was lovely. Everyone very welcoming, great selection of drinks and the food was not only very good but also fantastic value. We had a few ciders and both had mussels on their fish friday deal and the value was incredible. Everything was fresh and lovely. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the atmosphere was just right. The landlady mentioned she has only been there since March but what a fantastic jobs she has done with the place! The en suite accomodation is managed by a third party but is also lovely and great value! A few minor negative points, duvet is feather and there was only one loo roll supplied, a spare is always nice to have. Had a fantastic time, we'll be back!

2nd visit in a month omg probably the best roast dinner I've ever had no frills just a good honest roast like your nan made and good portions. My wife has had something of the specials board both seafood dishes and she said they were perfect. Please guys don't change a thing . As for the staff what can I say it's lovely to see staff with a smile and who you can have a joke with and faultless service. I see this pub really really taking off for it's food and service. We'll done guy's we will definitely be back next month . Many thanks vinny

Extremely disappointing Valentine’s Day experience at True Lovers Knot. After seeing their Facebook post on 10 February advertising a Valentine’s Special Menu, I commented and emailed to book dinner for my husband and I at 7:30pm. The booking was made directly via the email address provided. The restaurant had been recommended to us several times, and we were really looking forward to our first visit. On 12 February, they posted that they would also be showing the Six Nations rugby matches. I followed up by email and Facebook Messenger to ask if we could come earlier to watch the rugby, have drinks and snacks, and then stay for dinner. This was acknowledged on Messenger, with reassurance that tables and chairs could be moved around if needed. We arrived shortly after 2 pm. After waiting to be served, we were told there was no booking for rugby and no booking for dinner. I explained that I had booked directly via email. The response? “I don’t work with ****, my colleague does, and she’ll be in at 5 pm.” When I asked about being seated for the rugby, we were shrugged at and told to go through to the bar. In the bar area, we were again met with indifference and simply gestured toward seats that didn’t even have a view of the match. When my husband pointed out that this was clearly a mistake, the staff response was that it was “**** fault.” No ownership. No apology. No attempt to fix it. As former hospitality business owners, we completely understand that mistakes happen. But great hospitality is about how you recover. A simple apology, a rearranged table (as already discussed via Messenger), even a small gesture like a complimentary drink would have turned the situation around. Instead, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. We cancelled both the afternoon and our Valentine’s dinner. We had planned to spoil ourselves, watching rugby, enjoying a few drinks, snacks and the premium Valentine’s set menu. More importantly, it was meant to be a special occasion. In an industry that is already under immense pressure across the UK, experiences like this only reinforce why so many hospitality businesses are struggling to retain loyal customers.

Nice pub and camp site quite amazing breakfast very polite staff.. defo co.e again. Good pint and clean camp site gorgeous views . Tolits shower all clean. Omly the light must blown in shower but was a good old thunder storms will recommend to visit and defo pop in the pub for refreshments food.
