Tucked among paddocks, meadows and lakes on the outskirts of Sturminster Marshall, Dorset Springs offers a peaceful retreat with easy access to central Dorset's attractions. The Jurassic Coast's gorgeous coves are within reach, while closer to home you'll find a convenience store, pub and farm shop café all within a few minutes' walk. It's equally suited to family holidays or stopovers en route to Poole's ferries, just 15 minutes away.
Spacious lakeside pitches give you room to set up just as you like, surrounded by sheep-grazed fields and wildlife-watching opportunities—though do keep an eye on children around the unfenced lakes. Dogs are welcome year-round. Facilities are simple but adequate: toilet, shower (small daily fee), washing-up area, chemical disposal and a play area for younger campers. The site's tiny scale and tranquil setting make it feel genuinely special, even if some might find the basic amenities a touch minimal for longer stays.

Beautiful peaceful site set amongst a picturesque lake with wild geese and ducks. Omlet the resident chicken was the perfect host and very welcoming. Toilet and shower available if you don’t have your own facilities, however we were happy to use our onboard shower etc. ideal location for exploring Kingston lacy, Wimborne and surrounding countryside. Would happily come back!!!

This is a gorgeous place to stay. Electric hook up if required or go off grid by the lake. £20 for the night. Shower room, but closed because of the Covid conspiracy, toilets clean. 100% recommend a visit here.

Lovely, slightly soggy weekend spent here with friends. We'll kept grounds. Very attentive hosts. If carp fishing is your thing its got a couple of well stocked lakes. There is also a CC CL here with 4 hardstanding pitches. In addition there are a number of pitches on grass with EHU. 20 minute walk to the nearest pub. 10 minute walk to the nearest shop. Site facilities currently limited due to covid. Make sure to bring your own toilet roll as the one toilet available is not serviced and there is no soap.

Just spent a weekend at Dorset Springs and we will definitely be returning. The site is absolutely perfect for us wanting a local weekend away in our caravan. It was so peaceful, there is a lovely lake to walk around and facilities are great. The owners are fantastic and the friendly chickens roaming around were a great addition. We can’t wait to return!
