Bramble Cottage

Bramble Cottage opens into a ground-floor living room with a woodburner and French doors that lead straight out to the garden. The kitchen sits next door, fitted with an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, so cooking here is straightforward. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a king bed, the other with two singles—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The cottage sleeps four and comes as your own private space, though it sits on the owner's land accessed via an unmade lane.

An enclosed, lawned garden with decking and seating comes with the property, along with private parking for two cars. One dog stays free. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, plus initial logs for the woodburner. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Wimborne is a short walk away, with pubs, restaurants and shops. The New Forest lies 20 minutes' drive west, while beaches at Sandbanks and Bournemouth are within reach to the south. Kingston Lacy, Brownsea Island and Wareham are all accessible for day trips. A pub serving food is a quarter-mile away and restaurants are nearby.

it was a lovely cottage with a high quality interior and super location, but if you don't like dog hairs then it's not the place for you! the owner assured me the place would be thoroughly cleaned of them, i'm sorry to say that wasn't the case. overall, definately clean. bedding spotless. however, it was all the black dog hairs we found, in cups, bowls, on the table where we ate. on the cushions in the living room even in the bathroom upstairs we found them in the sink, on the toilet, on the tiles around the bath. i can only suggest that whoever did do the cleaning that they used the same cloth to do everwhere-including floors-and past the hairs around. if it had been vacuumed properly then we wouldn't have seen hairs around the skirting boards. obviously in a pet friendly place we expected some hairs--no one can be that thorough, we've had our own dogs in the past. we are not exaggerating. that was what we found. we would never stay in a 'pet friendly' place again as we would always be taking a chance. but it seems almost everywhere allows them now and people like us are in the minority--even hotels cater for them, so we don't get much choice. as a tip, it would've been very useful to have leaflets at the cottage of places to visit and a maps of the area. every place we've ever stayed have them. there were plenty of 'bramble cottage' ones though! obviously these comments won't go down well. we can only say what we found.

Bramble Cottage is one of the best cottages we have stayed in, home from home. Jayne the host is very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back and will recommend to our family and friends.
