What visitors say
To reach the site, proceed along the dirt track, turning left just before the water treatment plant and entering through the gate, which is currently overgrown. You'll pass an old restroom to your right and a skip and some disused huts ahead; take the first left to enter the main area. The site features a well-maintained lawn, enclosed pitches, and a gravel pitch with a grassy area and trees for privacy. Enjoy the pleasant birdsong. The electric hookups are functional but could use some cleaning; please wear gloves to avoid scratches when using the water tap, which is located on the back of the hookup post. The advertised cafe is not on-site; it's a pleasant ten-minute walk away through the Fisheries. The cafe is dog-friendly, and the staff are very welcoming. They offer a wonderful menu, including options for dogs. There is no country club at this location. The site shows signs of neglect, which is unfortunate given its potential. There are no visible staff onsite, although they do react to text messages.

A highly recommended adults only, dog friendly caravan site. My family stayed with you for a weekend in September. The site was truly fabulous. We must have been very lucky to get a weekend when only one other pitch was taken, it was so quiet!! But even if the place was full, I can't imagine it would have made much difference. The grounds were so well kept, the pitches were spacious and so private. And the walks around the wider site were absolutely stunning. We fully intend to return in the near future. Also, the young lady we met (I'm sorry, I can't remember her name) was so friendly, kind and helpful, please thank her from us all for making us feel very welcome. Thank you so much for allowing us to make some wonderful memories. Kind regards, Wendy, Adam, Jenny and Jon (my sister and brother-in-law).

What a brilliant find, 10 very secluded hard standing pitches, EHU & water on pitch, elsan point, grey water & bins short walk. Very peaceful site. Great walks in the area, we did monk wood approx 4 to 5 mile round trip with stunning scenery ended up at the cafe what a great find. The cafe was busy with a hive of activity, had a spot of lunch which was simple but delicious, staff very friendly, could have sat there for ages. Pubs are really good & within walking distance one at each end of the village, both very good. Also in the village is a bakery & cafe. Picked up a pie for tea, really nice. Everywhere was dog friendly. Can't wait to return ❤️

We had a very enjoyable bank holiday weekend here.the pitches are huge surrounded by 7ft conifers which had been kept neat and tidy.the hard standing part was gravel and on ours(no4) was slightly off level but just out up on a ramp no problem.the grass on all the site had been kept tidy. on each pitch there was a cold water tap on the reverse side to the hook up point which was great 👍 only thing I think you may need is a long enough hose roughly 10m.you will find a elson point at the entrance.there is I think 10 pitches, all very private.there are recycling bins.just at the top of the road is the tickled trout.nice pub and a little pricey and a 20min walk will take you to the peacock.now this is a beautiful pub very up class with a glass fronted veranda...very nice!.just off site you can walk along a gated path along side of the fishing ponds to a cafe which excellent for a breakfast or snack and you can take it all in as people are fishing 🎣 Going back I would definitely stop at this site again. We really enjoyed it. Because there is no staff on site all information will be sent to your phone prior to arrival which makes it all clear.so the reason I gave 4stars not 5 is because the barrier doesn't work and that plays a big part in security with there been no staff I feel.although saying that you don't see anyone around anyway. Oh one more piece of advice make sure you take the entrance near the top of the hill.you turn down onto a estate and the entrance is at the very bottom we're the road turns to a farm road and this really is no problem. 😊 👍
