About Ashbank Bed & Breakfast

Ashbank Bed & Breakfast occupies a traditional house on Balmaha Road in Drymen, a village well placed for exploring Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. It's a small, personally run operation rather than a large hotel, with a garden and outdoor seating area for guests to sit and take in the surroundings.

Rooms are en-suite and well-stocked, with family rooms and accessible rooms available, plus free WiFi and drinks provided in-room. Breakfast is cooked to order each morning, and guests heading out for the day can arrange a packed lunch. Additional touches include laundry service, luggage storage and round-the-clock reception, along with free on-site parking.

Drymen sits within easy reach of golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports, and the surrounding area is popular for walking and cycling. A pub, bar and restaurant are all nearby for evening meals. Ashbank works well as a comfortable, straightforward base for those keen to spend their days outdoors and return to a proper cooked breakfast.

Found ourselves unexpectedly in Glasgow on the night of a conference, very last minute. Not one hotel room available for remotely decent price. Didn't want the long drive out to Drymen after a stressful and emotional day, but actually it was such a beautiful drive, with gorgeous levels of light at dusk. Very serene. Tommy was amazing, realised we didn't have the capacity to make decisions that evening, so gave us what we needed for us to crash out, then picked up with us in the morning re the most amazing and unexpected breakfast. It was everything we needed, even though we didn't realise we did. Twin room was great size, very clean. Breakfast was fabulous. Host was amazing, chatty and friendly, accommodating for our particular needs. Village setting beautiful and suggested we go to Balmaha to see/walk Loch Lomond and was a great tip. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice B&B. We stayed here after our first hike on the West Highland Way. The room was great, fully stocked with everything you could need. Tommy, the host, was very nice and helpful. Located right in town so we could walk to the Clachan Pub for dinner. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place to stay - gorgeous views, fantastic and accommodating hosts, and a delicious breakfast! We also opted for a packed lunch that was perfection later on the West Highland Way. Our room was clean and bright, and my only hope is that we hikers didn't track in too much mud!

Walking the WHW only had one night here, would've stayed a month quite happily. Tommy was a great host. The room was beautiful, bed very comfortable and a great breakfast.
